Our business has grown on the basis of our track record and we have developed a reputation for providing a high level of value for service – putting our customers at the centre of our operation.
GJK is one of the largest privately owned providers of cleaning and related property services in Australia. GJK Facility Services is proud of the excellent and long standing working relationships it has developed over the years with its major customers. These long-standing relationships are the result of the honest and reliable approach we have with our customers.
GJK has expanded its portfolio into various industry sectors with further successful expansion into the provision and coordination of multi-service contracts. We now have industry specialist operations teams servicing our client base.
GJ&K originated from a family company in 1985 whose names were George, John & Kerry, and offered a wide range of commercial cleaning services.
After operating from premises in Richmond for five years, in 1990 the company moved to larger premises in Hawthorn. Subsequently, in 1998, due to the company expansion, GJK purchased more appropriate premises in Rowville incorporating increased warehouse space. With the continued growth it has led us to seek larger and better premises and GJK now operates from their corporate offices located in Collingwood.
Today GJK have the systems and the scale to manage some of the most complex property management projects in Australia.
Customer Satisfaction is the key focus of GJK Facility Services. All our actions in organisational development, staff motivation, management of our human resources, design and implementation of our operational procedures reflect and support this focus.

GJK Facility Services are the first to implement an externally audited Integrated Management System (IMS) within our industry. The system comprises Quality Accreditation AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008, Occupational Health & Safety AS/NZS 4801:2001 and Environmental Management Standards under AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004. The management tools for our service performance outcomes are now predictable and sustainable.
Our qualified Internal/External Auditors actively seek feedback on a regular basis from our Customers’ Representatives. The objective supported by our IMS Procedures is to further put into practice a proactive approach in ensuring customer satisfaction is continuously maintained.

George is the Director and owner of GJK Facility Services. George has been in the service industry for over thirty five years, with his key focus being on superior customer service delivery.
George actively participates in industry associations with his current role as Director of Facilities Management Association of Australia (FMA), Associate Director for AustralianSuper, Victorian President and National Vice President of Building Services Contractors Association of Australia (BSCAA), and Fellow Australian Institute of Management. George has been a fundamental factor in GJK Facility Services’ continuing successful growth.
