Working For Us

CAREERS

Our people are our greatest asset. So, we look for the best.

We are one big diverse family, working together to provide better experiences to those around us.

It can be chaotic, but in a good way, and we definitely run at a fast pace. We pull together, helping each other when needed, so don’t be afraid to put up your hand.

We live by the motto ‘treat everyone as if they were your family’.

The kind of people we look for

We look for people who want to become part of a family. Who are willing to go the extra mile, who are customer focused, who can see the big picture without losing sight of the small details.

Someone who never stops trying to find ways to do things better.

WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU

We want to attract and retain the best people. To achieve this, we provide training / up skilling programs and career paths, so you can progress your career with us. From the time you onboard with us, we want you to have the best experience ever.

We also provide:

Flexible Working
Recognition & Rewards
CAREER DEVELOPMENT
HEALTH & WELL-BEING
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

It’s not just about work

You know the saying “all work and no play…” – that’s not us.

We like to balance things up. There’s usually some type of social event happening. Whether it be catching up with workmates for a drink after work, celebrating a birthday or a lunch to raise money for a community or charity organisation we are involved in, there is always something on.

I have been with GJK for roughly 30 years – 26 officially. My whole working life. It has always been a company that protects its people. If you do the right thing, you are here for life. I have retired three times and I always come back because I enjoy my job.

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

With a workforce of over 45 nationalities it goes without saying that diversity and inclusion is a huge part of who we are.

We recognise the value of attracting, engaging and retaining employees with different backgrounds, experience and perspectives. Harnessing these differences, creates more productive and inclusive workplaces, and drives innovation, creativity, problem solving to better serve our customers and communities.

We recognise and respect qualities that are unique each member of our team including gender, cultural background, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity.

We will not tolerate unlawful discrimination, harassment, workplace bullying or victimisation in the workplace. Each and every one of us takes responsibility for fostering diversity and inclusion and treating each other with mutual respect.

And in full compliance with Australia’s Modern Slavery Act 2018, our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement documents the evolution of our approach to ensure that our robust frameworks are formalised to minimise the risk of modern slavery occuring in our business operations and supply chain.

OUR KEY AREAS OF FOCUS

We are committed to a culture that embraces and fosters diversity and inclusion across all levels of the business. We will achieve this through eliminating stigmas and limitations and creating a culture of inclusion through the promotion of education, awareness and mutual understanding. Our goals are:

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
