GJK Newsletter V15 June 2011

Director’s Message –
In 2011, it has been a privilege to become more involved in a number of the exciting developments and advancements
occurring in our industry.
I was thrilled to recently attend FMA Australia’s Ideaction 11, held at Brisbane’s Novotel Hotel in May. The outstanding selection of conference speakers offered insightful and inspiring presentations on the issues facing the industry, while reminding us all that any challenges we face can be overcome with the right approach and attitude to finding solutions. I was extremely honoured this year to be appointed to the FMA Australia Board of Directors, and look forward to being part of the great work they continue to do in shaping the FM industry.

My recent appointment as National Vice President of the Building Service Contractors Association of Australia (BSCAA) will also provide me with the great opportunity to work alongside other industry representatives in striving to improve conditions for facility services’ staff and contractors alike. The BSCAA are also committed to promoting the industry as a progressive vocation of choice to the wider public, something I look forward to working with them on.

On the home front at GJK Facility Services, we are delighted to be expanding our service delivery into the ACT region, with the recent commencement of three new contracts in Canberra. We look forward to providing exemplary service and forging strong relationships with our new Canberra clients, while ensuring we continue to exceed the expectations of our clients here in Victoria.
