Company History

GJ&K originated from a family company in 1985 whose names were George, John & Kerry, and offered a wide range of commercial cleaning services.

In 1988 George Stamas joined the Company as a major shareholder. With over twenty years of continuous operation, GJK Facility Services has now developed into an organisation with over 500 employees and an annual year-on year growth over the last four years. We are now regarded as an employer of choice in our industry and are able to attract the highest calibre staff who wants to become part of our successful team.

After operating from premises in Richmond for five years, in 1990 the company moved to larger premises in Hawthorn. Subsequently, in 1998, due to the company expansion, GJK purchased more appropriate premises in Rowville incorporating increased warehouse space.  With the continued growth it has led us to seek larger and better premises and GJK now operates from their corporate offices located in Collingwood.

Today GJK have the systems and the scale to manage some of the most complex property management projects in the state, not dissimilar to The University of Melbourne and Huntsman Chemicals.
