The University of Melbourne
Being one of the largest Universities in Australia, the University of Melbourne’s main campus, covers an excess of 100 hectares, dates back to over 150 years, and houses many of the most prominent historical listed buildings of its time.
With an annual enrolment in excess of 40,000 students each year, the site includes laboratories, engineering areas, lecture theatres, classrooms, tutorial areas, function facilities, libraries, cafeterias and administration areas. GJK Facility Services provide cleaning services across 135 buildings throughout the Melbourne campus. This is achieved by a team of 70 plus dedicated project team members. The team works a combination of permanent part time and full time shifts, from the very early hours of the morning, completing all duties by the time all staff and students start there normal day. A dedicated site manager ensures quality standards are achieved on a daily basis, with much consideration being placed on training of staff. GJK Facility Services attained a 2004 Golden Service Award and Finalist Award in Recognition for their high standard of services provided to the University of Melbourne.
GJK Facility Services has held the University of Melbourne cleaning contract for over 6 years. GJK has participated in many customer focus groups held within the campus to ensure ongoing client satisfaction with cleaning standards provided. |
